Happy Thanksgiving Day to All
Phil and the Mrs. obviously have lots to be thankful for this year.
As for me, my wife and I will be heading up to my Mom’s to
spend the day with her; my 90-year-old grandmother; my uncle the lifelong deer and elk hunter who only takes head shots; and my brother, his wife, and my nephew, who’s still just as happy as in this pic despite being in the terrible twos now.
I’m happy for lots of things, too. On the gun front (this is a gunblog after all, right?) I’m very thankful for the gross of en-bloc clips that just showed up at my door, for use with my new Garands.
According to Boston I only have a
few hundred more to go to be fully kitted out. Of course I don’t have any .30-06 ammo yet, but one thing at a time….
Speaking of ammo, I hope everybody was able to buy a bit on National Ammo Day last week. I wasn’t, because I’ve been buying guns. Accordingly, I’m also very thankful for these new acquisitions that should be in my hot little hands before the first of the year:

A scarce Weatherby CFP in .308 Winchester, which will be joining its .223 Rem twin in my safe and on the line at Boomershoot;
and a Para PXT LDA Limited in .45 ACP.

Range reports on these two will be forthcoming in the new year. Have a safe and fun holiday, folks.
