Why You Want Your Stock to Fit

40 rounds of .308 through the Hun Bastard (a HK clone) will do this to you. Of course, the fun of Boomershoot Cleanup means that you don’t stop, no matter how much it hurts.

Actually, I suspect Phil didn’t even notice until he was done shooting.

Your last sentence is correct. I noticed it when the sling felt a little raw.

Also, it is already gone, so I’m ready for another 40 rounds of rapid fire MBR.

A new stock will be ordered with the Ribbate check.

Get an HK21 rubber butt pad for your stock. It both softens the blow and extends the stock slightly. Even better, if you can find a heavy buffer that will help a great deal. They’re hard to find and sort of expensive though. I have both on my PTR and it really helps–I can shoot it all day now.

I’d love to do that Tom, but unfortunately, I need at least 2-3 more inches of pull added as well. I’ll be going for the collapsible stock, which is already 1.5 longer and customizing a thick pad for it.
