My 5-year-old nephew was happily pointing out all the different Legos in his collection when he frowned and said he didn’t know what this one was.
It’s not strictly a television antenna (I believe it’s from my brother’s old 1970s Moon Rover Astronaut Lego set), but, well, it looks like a TV antenna, I told him.
I received the blankest of blank looks.
You know, they mount on your roof? I said.
Ladies and germs, I hold in my hand a symbolic miniature of the modern buggy whip.
(I tried sticking it atop a Lego airplane we built for flair, but he discarded it as both functionless and gauche. Sigh.)
